Gestura Slotted Spoon - All chefs crave one of these. We wouldn’t normally spend this much on a spoon alone, but as a gift, it’s perfect. Comes as a slotted spoon (pictured) or as a spoon and comes in silver or gold, but the gold is pretty badass. These spoons sell out fast and quick so you’ll need to get your order in asap.
2. Cast Iron Skeppshult pan - This year I’ve completely moved away from non-stick pans and have just stainless steel and cast iron pans in my kitchen. With a little extra love and attention, these pans will last a lifetime compared to the non-stick that needs changing every year. So really, this investment has much better value than anything out there on the market. Cast Iron transfers heat so well, it’s perfect for achieving that super crust on steaks, or colouring veg. This pan isn’t suitable for oven use due to the wooden handle, but this brand also does a metal handle version. I have had my pan for over 10 years, lasted through a house fire and is still in perfect condition.
3. Peugeot Pepper Mill - They don’t just make cars, but they make some of the best coveted pepper mills out there. I’ve recently added one of these colour pepper mills in my kitchen and I love it. Its a bright colour pop that looks great on the dining table too.
4. Staub cast iron pan with steamer insert 5.6L - Now this is the ultimate gift for the chef foodie. This is a pan that will last a lifetime, and the steamer insert allows you to steam fish and vegetables neatly and perfectly. I rarely see this insert online, so it’s a great opportunity to make out the versatility of this gift. I found on Amazon you can get a beautiful blue coloured one for just £150, but it’s not available on Prime, so you’ll have to order asap to arrive in time. This 5.6L size is perfect for cooking nearly everything for a family dinner.
5. Ninja wireless probe - Trust Ninja to find whats trending and do their version of it. Here is a wireless probe but for the fraction price of just £70 compared to Meater which is £99. Really useful for cooking, see my meat probe guide here for more infomation on how to use probes and which to choose, but this is a great deal to jump on.
6. Ninja Speedi Airfryer - I’m including this into this years gift guide because this airfryer has changed our families lives. It was the only airfryer that we could find at the time that offers a STEAM function, which we use a lot for rice, vegetables, but even doing the most perfect, moist, rotisserie chicken. We steam the chicken to cook through, then crisp it up perfectly with the bake function. Add some potatoes underneath during this and you’ll think you’ve ended up in Paris, France for the night.
7. Chefs Press - I have a stack of these in different shapes, sizes and weights because these are crucial for getting an even crust on it because it adds weight where before you’d have to hold down or use a pan on top. Those days are gone. Any chef would love to have one of these in the kitchen, and I recommend starting with this round 17oz one which is perfect for most pans.
8. Fellow coffee container - If you’re like us, we drink a LOT of coffee, but you go through the effort of buying lovely coffee beans, then they dry out in their bag. Well with the Fellow coffee container, you can manually vacuum out the oxygen/air in the container simply by twisting the lid, then it will show you when there’s a suitable vacuum inside. You can go all out and get the electric vaccum version as it is xmas but I love using these containers for all sorts of spices and flours to keep everything fresh as possible.
